PURPOSE:To prevent breakage of a nozzle part by contact or vibration of block molds and to enable controlling of a gap of the nozzle part so as to minimize by fixing flexibly the tundish nozzle to a tundish in a shifting mold type continuous caster. CONSTITUTION:The tundish nozzle 7 is fixed flexibly through a heat resistant porous cushioning material 6, such as ceramic fiber, etc., at a spout 5 of the tundish 4 arranged at one side inlet of the mold space 3, and the nozzle 7 is inserted with necessary gap to the mold space 3. In this way, even if the upper or the lower block mold 1 is brought into contact with the nozzle 7, an impact at the time of contacting with the block mold 1 is absorbed into the heat resistant porous cushioning material 6, and the nozzle 7 is prevented from breakage by only a little change of its direction. |
