PURPOSE:To permit easy mounting and holding of a core and sure venting of gas by maintaining a communicating path with the atm. formed in the core print part of the cavity parts in a die in a negative pressure state, mounting the core to the core print and removing the gas generated during pouring from the communicating path. CONSTITUTION:The air in the communicating path 9 is sucked by driving of a suction device and the core 7 is mounted to the core print 3g of the fixed die 3 while the fixed die 3 and the moving die 5 are held separated from each other. The negative pressure is, therefore, maintained in the communicating path 9 and the core 7 is held by the core print 3g. Both dies 3, 5 are then mated and are united to one body by clamping means. A molten metal is poured into the cavity parts 3b, 5b. Since the negative pressure state is maintained in the communicating path 9, the gas generated during pouring is sucked through the core 7 into the communicating path 9 and is discharged to the outside of the die 1. The molten metal is thereby spread to all the corners in the cavity parts 3b, 5b and the generation of casting defects is surely prevented. |
