PURPOSE:To shorten overall length while preventing the transmission of the heat of a motor by extending one end of a shaft for the motor to an encoder base section mounted through a clearance and fitting a disk for measurement at the nose of one end of the shaft for the motor. CONSTITUTION:A shaft 4 is supported rotatably to bearings 5 for side plates 2a, 2b set up on both sides of a motor case 2. An encoder 6 is connected to the side plate 2a by a screw 5a through a clearance W, and a collar member 17 consisting of a heat-insulating material is interposed. A bearing holding section 2aA is brought into contact with an encoder base section 8 through a heat-insulating seal ring 18. A disk with a slit mounted at the nose of the shaft 4 is turned between a light-emitting element 13 and a photodetector 14, and an output-beam signal is transmitted over a circuit substrate 16, thus detecting the number of revolution. Accordingly, a direct transmission over the encoder of heat generated from a motor is prevented, thus shortening the axial length of a device. |
