ANTI-HUMAN GASTRIC CARCINOMA MONOCLONAL ANTIBODY

NEW MATERIAL:An anti-human gastric carcinoma monoclonal antibody AMC-382 reactive with human gastric carcinoma cell, unreactive with normal human gastric tissue (or cell), recognizing saccharide chain of glycoprotein or glycolipid as an antigen and belonging to IgM class. USE:Useful for serum diagnosis of gastric carcinoma. It gives relatively high positive ratio for primary gastric carcinoma. PREPARATION:Spleen cell of a mouse immunized e.g. with cell tissue of human gastric carcinoma or its membrane component (preferably a mouse of 8 week old and imparted with immunological tolerance by pretreatment with human normal gastric cell is immunized) is fused with a mouse myeloma cell (e.g. 8-azaguanine-resistant mouse myeloma cell strain P3-X63Ag8-U1, etc.) to obtain a hybridoma. The hybridoma is cultured in a medium or administered to a mouse and the produced ascites is separated from the mouse.
