The invention relates to a device having the shape of an implant intended to be inserted into a hollow area of the box of a computer magnetic tape standard cartridge. The implant is constituted by a hollow cylinder 1, by a copper wire 2 wound around this cylinder, by a fixed capacitor 3 housed in the centre of this cylinder so as to create a resonant circuit, of a second hollow cylinder 4, one end of which is closed off by a cover 5 and the other end of which is blocked, comprises four moulded and cut out protuberances 6 which may be retracted or resume the original position. The device according to the invention makes it possible to detect the presence of a cartridge with the aid of a low-frequency radio transmitter/receiver, so as to check the movements of the cartridges of magnetic tapes which enter or leave a premises reserved for their processing. <IMAGE>
