PURPOSE:To obtain the titled molding excellent in bending modulus and compressive strength, by molding a polyol, a polyisocyanurate and a short CaSO4 fiber as a reinforcement by the R-RIM process. CONSTITUTION:A mixture (A) of a polyol (e.g., polyether polyol) and, optionally, additives such as a low-MW diol, a curing catalyst, an antifoamer, water Freon and a colorant, a polyisocyanate (B) (e.g., tolylene diisocyanate) and 10-50wt% reinforcement (C) comprising short CaSO4 fiber in the form of an acicular crys tal having a length of 40-200mum, a diameter of 0.5-5mum and an aspect ratio of 20-100 are injected simultaneously at a high pressure and a high speed into a mold and reacted together to form an R-RIM molding. |
