PURPOSE:To produce an Al alloy having the abrasion resistance as restricting development of huge proeutectic compound by pouring molten Al alloy, which is kept to the temp. with no developing of the proeutectic crystal in a mold, into the mold and forming a porous separating wall, to prevent mixture of high temp. molten metal with low temp. molten metal in the mold. CONSTITUTION:The molten Al alloy, which is kept at >=750 deg.C with no developing of the proeutectic crystal in the mold 4, is poured on a float 3, which controls the molten metal surface in the mold 4, from a spout 1, through a nozzle 2. This mold 4 is water cooling type and the secondary cooling water (W) Is sprayed on the casting billet (C) from the lower part of the mold. In order to prevent the mixture of the poured high temp. molten Al alloy pool 8 with the low temp. molten metal 7 at near solidifying range, the porous separating wall 6 having fire-proof, heat resistance and similar shape with the continuous casting pool 8 in the mold 4 is arranged, and the poured molten metal temp. is kept at about >=670 deg.C. Then, this separating wall 6 is desirable to cover about >=30% of the molten metal pool surface and to be about 50% of the molten metal pool depth, about 16-50/cm<2> for number of its holes and about 0.01-0.1cm<2>/each size of its hole.
