The invention relates to a process for incorporating an immunogenic peptide-encoding DNA sequence in a vector DNA. This process comprises the random cutting of the vector DNA, the combination of the various fragments with the protein-encoding sequence, transformation of competent cells with the range of combined fragments, and detection and sorting of those of the cell colonies whose expression products are recognised by antibodies to the immunogenic peptide.
