The device is intended to raise at least one rear wheel E of a tractor C for the purpose of working on the said wheel E, especially for twinning or changing the tyre, this tractor C being equipped with a coupling and lifting mechanism of the three-point type, that is to say comprising three fastening and mechanical linking members, two of which are situated at the end of two lower arms A which can be lowered and raised. This mechanism is characterised in that it comprises a jack 1 composed of a support 8 which is to rest on the ground and at least one assembly 2-3-4-5 which is to interact with the raising mechanism A-B so that by actuating the latter, a force is applied to the support 8 and thence on the ground so as to tend to lift the tractor C. <IMAGE>
