PURPOSE:To pull a formed body by an optimum tension and at an optimum speed at all times by controlling a pressure of a pull-out cylinder and the number of rotation of a hydraulic pump based on a speed of a pressure cylinder for a billet and an optimum tension value of the formed body. CONSTITUTION:A billet 6 of a fiber rainforced metallic composite material in a container 5 heated by a heater 16 is extruded by a pressure cylinder 1 and a formed body 7 is pulled out to the extent of a prescribed tension by a pull-out cylinder 9 through an automatic gripper 8. A speed detector 3 detects a speed of a piston 2 of the cylinder 1 and outputs the speed to a computing element 4, which operates the optimum number of rotation of a driving motor 13 of a hydraulic pump 12 based on the above detection value and a pressure value corresponding to an optimum tension set value of the cylinder 9. Pressures of the cylinder 9 and the number of rotation of the motor 13 are controlled based on the above operated value through an electrically driven pressure control valve 11 and a rotating speed controller 14.
