<p>Support device for attaching young babies, in particular in a lateral position for ultrasonic examination of the hip, consisting of a longitudinal base-plate (1) on which are pivotally mounted, via separate hinged articulations (6, 6'), two parallel, spaced-apart (a) and longitudinally-oriented bolster-like bodies made of soft cushion-like material. The hinged articulations (6, 6') engage with the two mutually-facing inner sides of the bolster-like bodies (2, 2'), and, roughly over the total length (d) of the two bolster-like bodies (2, 2'), an exchangeable cloth (4), in particular a napkin, is secured to the outer sides thereof. The width of the cloth is selected so that after the baby has been placed between the two bolster-like bodies (2, 2') - preferably with its trunk and legs laterally positioned - the cloth (4) can be tensioned and the two bolster-like bodies (2, 2') can be pivoted towards the body of the baby, enabling the baby to be secured according to its weight or size and consequently its age or mobility. Furthermore, a part (3), also made of cushion-like material and located at a distance from the two bolster-like bodies (2, 2'), is provided which has a trough-like recess (5) to accommodate the baby's head. This part (3) is mounted so that it is both slidable longitudinally on the base-plate (1) and pivotable around a shaft (7) which runs at right-angles to the base-plate (1).</p> |
