This device adapts to a tank 1 provided with a pipe 3 protruding from the wall of the tank and having a flange 2, and it is used for thermally insulating the pipe 3 and the flange 2. The device is constituted by a pot 4 with a bottom 9 and a cylindrical part 10, comprising an inner lining 5, 6 made of cellular, preferably elastic material.
