The invention relates to a hydraulic joint for a vessel hatch-cover consisting of a joint which, being made of an elastic material such as rubber and attached to the edges of the hatch-cover, is pressed, when the hatch-cover is in the closed position, against the top of the coaming in order thus to seal the hatch-cover. According to the invention, the joint 1 has, in cross-section, two cavities 2, 3, one above the other; the lower 2 is smaller and is situated in the end of the joint 1, known per se, which narrows towards the bottom and the other cavity 3 is situated in the centre of the joint. The invention applies in particular to boats and vessels. <IMAGE>
