PURPOSE:To obtain a gasket packing which will not contaminate a material in contact therewith, by forming a composition made by incorporating a specified polyester plasticizer into a vinyl chloride resin. CONSTITUTION:A gasket packing obtained by forming a composition made by mixing 100pts.wt. vinyl chloride resin with 30-150pts.wt. polyester plasticizer which is composed of an aliphatic dibasic acid, a diol, and a monohydric alcohol or a monobasic acid, contains at least 50mol% 2-ethyl-2-n-butyl-1,3-propanediol in its diol component, and has an average molecular weight of 1,000-5,000. The average molecular weight of the vinyl chloride resin to be used may be 800-5,000, preferably 1,000-3,000. When the amount of the polyester plasticizer is less than 30pts.wt., the flexibility of the obtained gasket packing will be inferior, while when it is above 150pts.wt., the obtained gasket packing will have tackiness, both of which are undesirable.
