PURPOSE:To quickly suck the inside of a cavity to a high vacuum degree and to improve the capacity of a die casting device by providing a vacuum suction port to the side face of a plunger sleeve and connecting a vacuum supply source to the vacuum suction port thereof. CONSTITUTION:A molten metal is poured from a pouring port 13 into the plunger sleeve 9 and an opening/closing sleeve 16 is advanced to close the pouring port 13. The vacuum connection port 15 is connected to the port 13. The vacuum of a vacuum pump 27 is acted on pipings 21, 22, 34, 40 to evacuate the inside of dies to a vacuum. The cavity 6 is evacuated quickly to the vacuum by the pipings 21, 22 through the runner 7 and the sleeve 9. On the other hand, the other pipings 34, 40 suck the inside of a groove 32 enclosing the cavity 6 and a space 38 enclosing an ejector pin 37 to a vacuum and suck the air in the cavity 6 from the spacing between the dies and the spacing between the ejector pin and the dies; in addition, these pipings prevent the intrusion of the outdoor air into the cavity from said spacings. The high vacuum is thereby quickly maintained in the cavity 6.
