PURPOSE:To monitor start and stop frequencies for a radar beacon unit, by preparing a monitoring signal from a time detection output enough to a maximize and minimize allowable band width of a sweep frequency and start and stop signals. CONSTITUTION:A radar wave received with an antenna 1 is inputted into a control circuit 4 through a circulator 2 and a detector 3. The circuit 4 is triggered by a detection signal to pulse drive a voltage control oscillator 5 and an amplifier 6 and produces an output in response to a ship from the antenna 1 through a monitor 7 for monitoring a transmitted wave and a circulator 2. An output of the monitor 7 is inputted into a detection means 8 to detect time enough to maximize and minimize the allowable band width of a sweep frequency. Thus, a monitoring signal is prepared from a first and a last frequencies to be outputted from a control circuit 4 and an output of the detection means 8 to monitor the frequencies of start and stop signals.
