Polyurethanes containing fluoroalkyl ligands, of the formula I <IMAGE> in which X denotes hydrogen or fluorine, R denotes a p-valent organic aliphatic radical R<1> denotes e.g. a radical of the formula II <IMAGE> n denotes a number from 5 to 13 m denotes a number from 2 to 6 p denotes a number from 3 to 5 r denotes a number from 0 to 3 are outstandingly suitable for water-repellent and oil-repellent finishing of textile materials and of leather.
