In a bollard with a fixed base on which at least one bollard head is rotatably mounted, provision is made for a guide element for a cable running onto the bollard head to be arranged on the base, and for a stopper lock for the bollard head to be arranged between base and bollard head. The stopper lock is supported on the base at the level of the area corresponding to the point where the cable runs onto the bollard head. The stopper lock is preferably designed as a free-wheel lock acting in a predetermined direction of rotation.
