PURPOSE:To make deaeration and volume reducing treatment with large bulk reducing ratio by providing a roof plate for guiding powder to the top of each rotor in the upper portion of a hopper. CONSTITUTION:Powder supplied from above is distributed by a current plate 12 and guided to top portions of both compression rotors 14. The powder subjected to the first step of compression by suction at the top portion of the powder compression surface is cut by rubbing of th lower end of the current plate 12 and then subjected to the second step of compression between both compression rotors 14. Meanwhile the powder on the powder compression surface is kept being adsorbed to the powder compression surface by influence of reduced pressure passing through a suction shaft 16, and brought into contact with the forward end of a scraper 18 to be scraped with rotation of the compression rotor f14 and be discharged downward.
