Heating device with a combustion installation (3), the smoke gas (RG) of which is supplied to a waste-gas washing device (1), in the collector (21) for washing liquid of which a return-run heat exchanger (16) is arranged, which is flowed through by the return run (35A) of a heating circuit (35). The washing liquid is guided via an evaporator/heat exchanger (43) of a heat pump (4), the condenser heat exchanger (41) of which is likewsie connected into the return run (35A). The waste-gas washing installation (1) can alternatively, with a fan (50), be supplied with outside air (AL), from which heat is extracted by means of the washing liquid and supplied via the heat pump (4) to the heating circuit (35).
