PURPOSE:To remarkably improve the turning performance of a gliding boat so as to carry out a steep turn, by rotating a steering nozzle in both lateral and vertical directions at the same time through rotational operation of a handle bar in the right and left directions. CONSTITUTION:When a pilot rotates a handle-bar 6 to the right, giving a sliding boat a list to startboard for right-handed turning, the main body 21 of a water- jet propulsive nozzle 20 rotates to the right, centering around a vertical pin 22, via a push-pull-cable 19 that is used to wing the nozzle 20 to the right or to the left, thereby turning the small sliding boat to the right. At the same time, a supporting cylinder 23 of the steering nozzle 20 rotates upward, centering around a horizontal shaft 24, via a push-pull-calbe 18 that is used to swing the nozzle 20 to upward or downward, thereby turning the nozzle 20 upward. Accordingly, even when the boat has a list to starboard, the depth of the nozzle 20 from the water surface remains unchanged, while the jet water-flow discharged from the nozzle 20 runs almost parallel to the water surface. Therefore, the turning performance of the boat can remarkably be improved, thereby permitting a steep turning.
