PURPOSE:To shorten the time for reading-out by storing the required information read out of a memory medium once into a memory means and executing the reading out thereof from the memory means. CONSTITUTION:A card reader 2 reads out the information and transfers the same to a processing device 4 after storing the same into a buffer memory 3 when the request for reading-out the required information of an optical memory card 1 is made from the device 4 to the reader 2. The reading-out from the memory 3 is executed when the request for reading out is thereafter made from the device 4. The device 4 discriminates the presence or absence of a reading-out error from the information, requests the reading-out of only the error part again and feeds the fresh information to the memory 3 to make rewriting if there is the error. The reading-out from the memory 3 is executed after the information is once put into the memory 3 in the above-mentioned manner, by which the time required for the reading-out is shortened.
