PURPOSE:To make adjustment of a timer and a counter unnecessary, by providing a sensor mounting arm extending toward an inlet of piled materials with a moving frame and further mounting a sensor for piled materials on the lower portion of the arm for keeping a distance between the sensor and a stopper constant. CONSTITUTION:A sensor mounting arm 59 extending toward an inlet is fixed on a moving frame 30 and a mounting bar 60 fixed to the tip of the arm 59 has a lower end with a photoelectric type sensor or the like fixed thereto so that a constant distance between the sensor 61 and a stopper is obtained. When the front edge of a folded sheet 19 fed from the inlet is sensed by the sensor 61, a timer or a counter operates. A cylinder is actuated in response to a signal from the timer or the counter when a prescribed staying period of time has passed after the arrival of the front end of the folded sheet 19 at the stopper 18 to open both opening and closing doors 12, 13 downwardly by the action of a cylinder rod. Therefore, adjustment of the counter or the timer is not required because the distance between the stopper and the sensor is unchanged.
