The invention is intended to permit the alternate working off of two stacks (25), which are arranged one behind the other in the direction of transport, of blanks by means of a blank feeding device (1) which is driven directly by the press (2). The object is to design the carriage drive in such a way that the conveying path of the transporting carriage (4) can be switched between two path lengths and that in the two switching positions, a precisely identical conveying changeover point (22) can be realized on the side of the press. According to the invention, this is achieved in that in the train of gears between the cam gear (7) and the pinion shaft (23) there is arranged a further oscillating lever (12) which is connected by means of a connecting strap (19) to the angular lever (9) of the cam gear (7), at least one of the articulation points of the connecting strap (19) being mounted so that its distance from the pivot of the associated lever can be modified between two end positions. <IMAGE>
