摘要 PURPOSE:To reduce the number of photoelectric multipliers, by arranging sixteen scintillators in a matrix of 4X4 to connect photoelectric multipliers to scintillators, one per four as grouped in four zones divided by 2X2 areas. CONSTITUTION:A detector section 11 which detects radiation such as gamma rays radiated from an radioactive isotope dosed into a body as an object to be inspected is composed by combining sixteen scintillators 13 and four photoelectric multipliers 14. The scintillators 13 are arranged in a matrix of 4X4 and divided into a total of 9 blocks, four positioned at the center thereof, one per one of four corners and one with two scintillators each in the remaining perimeters. These blocks are optically separated from one another by binding boundary surfaces thereof with reflecting agent layers. Photoelectric multipliers are optically connected to sixteen scintillators 13, one per four as grouped in 4 zones divided by 2X2 areas.
