PURPOSE:To obtain a stirrer efficiently defoaming included gas, by providing blade-shaped stirring blades rotating around a vertical shaft in a bottomed cylindrical cage having a large number of perforations provided to the upper part of a tank in a plurality of stages and supplying a liquid substance from above. CONSTITUTION:The liquid substance supplied from a hopper 6 is stirred by a plural stages of blade-shaped stirring blades 4, 5 in a bottomed cylindrical cage 2 having a large number of perforations with a pore size of about 5-100mm. The gas included in the liquid substance is separated while the separated gas is rapidly exhausted out of the system through the perforations of the cage 2. Subsequently, this gas rises through a gas vent pipe 9 to be exhausted to the outside from an exhaust pipe. The gas is also separated when the liquid substance discharged through the perforations of the cage 2 and exhausted to the outside. A screw 8 rotating on the same shaft as the stirring blades to supply the liquid substance downwardly prevents a slurry containing a large quantity of gas from floating to a liquid surface and compresses the same to a lower surface to promote the separation of gas. |
