<p>A metal strip composed of a conductive band to act as a support base is progressively die-cut and later given surface coatings, on both faces, of other metals with specific properties, so that, by cutting the strip, contactor elements are obtained in appropriate shape for their intended function, with surface zones differentiated by the coatings of the strip. The strip serves as a continuous material for feed to cutting and handling devices for the processing of the metal elements to permit automatic assembly of the components concerned. The surface coatings are nickel (both sides) for commutators 14, 15 and tin (both sides) for soldering purposes for bodies 16, terminals 19 and tabs 18, 20. <IMAGE></p> |
