METHOD FOR DETECTING CENTER OF CIRCLE

PURPOSE:To improve the detecting accuracy for the center of a circle by magnifying the picture of the circle to be detected and fetching a part of the circle picture with application of a window and obtaining the center of the circle. CONSTITUTION:The pictures 1-4 of a circle to be detected are magnified and the windows 5-8 of prescribed sizes are applied to those magnified pictures to fetching a part of these pictures. Then the right and left positions of the windows are obtained together with the partial area of the window picture. Then a window having the same size as another window is applied to the magnified picture to fetch a part of the picture so that the coincidence is secured for vertical positions between both windows. Thus the right and left positions of the window are obtained together with the partial area of the window picture. Then the horizontal position of the picture center is obtained from said right and left positions and area as well as a prescribed size of the window. In the same way, the vertical position of the picture center is also obtained.
