发明名称 DRIVING SYSTEM FOR OPTICAL DISK MEMORY DEVICE
摘要 PURPOSE:To prevent the lowering of reliability for a memory disk at a contacting part at the time of impression of a voltage from the outside on a pair of electrodes in the memory disk, by providing a means which performs linkage wit the pair of electrodes at the center part of a rotary disk. CONSTITUTION:An optical memory disk 10 is formed in a circular plate shape, and is equipped with a pair of counter substrates 3 and 3', and both of those counter substrates 3 and 3' are transmissive. The counter substrate 3 on one side has irregularity on its inside plane, and on the surface of the substrate, a transparent counter electrode 4, and a means NVL 5 which regulates non- volatile orientation, are provided. The inside surface of the substrate 3' on the other side is flat, and on the inside surface of the substrate, an electrode 4, and an orientation film 7 are provided, and a liquid crystal 6 is packed be tween the orientation film 7 and the NVL 5. A recording track 27 and a guide track 26 are provided at the inside surface of the counter substrate 3 on one side. By providing the NVL 5 at a side having a projecting surface, and condens ing and irradiating a light beam or a heat beam on the NVL 5 or a neighboring LC, the regulated orientation of the LC can be changed to the second orientation different from the first orientation at an initial stage.
