PURPOSE:To obtain a liquid crystal equipment more definite in critical electric field according to the kind of charge accumulated in a floating electrode by providing a dielectric thin film on inner side of one or both electrodes, and providing a floating electrode having conductivity more than 100 times that of the film. CONSTITUTION:An optical disk memory 10 is provided with a pair of opposed substrates 3 and 3', and at least one substrate 3 is transparent. A pair of transparent electrodes 4, 4' are provided inside of the pair of substrates, and a dielectric thin film 5-1 is provided on at least one of them, for instance 4. Then, a cluster or film of semiconductor or conductive cluster or film or an insulating film having unpaired connectors is formed and made a charge tapping center layer TL 5-2. The TL 5 is constituted electrically from the electrode 4 as floating by the dielectric 5-1. Another dielectric film 4' is provided on another substrate 3' and an orientation processing film 77 is constituted on it, and the pair of substrates are opposed at a distance with the electrode side inside. Liquid crystal material is filled in the space of separation. |
