PURPOSE:To provided an ignition coil which can effective secure a core by forming a gap between a coil bobbin and the core, providing resin leakage stopping sealing member near one end of the bobbin, and injection molding thermoset resin. CONSTITUTION:After a coil bobbin 7 and a core 5 are associated, thermoset resin 4 is injection molded. In this case, gaps G are formed between the bobbin 7 and core inserting portions 5a, 5b to injection mold the resin 4 also between the bobbin 7 and the inserting portions 5a and 5b. A projection 8 of a member for preventing the injection resin from leaking is provided near one end of the bobbin 7. Thus, the fixing of the bobbin 7 and the core 5 are secured. |
