PURPOSE:To turn on and off the power supply of an unmanned carrier with indications given from a fixed station by providing both a SLEEP function and a WAKE-UP function to the carrier. CONSTITUTION:A means which turns on and off the power supplies of drive parts 51 and 52 where the CPU of a fixed station 7 supplies the current to a guide line is provided together with a means which can decode the digital signals after receiving a command from the station 7 to set an unmanned carrier under a SLEEP state. Thus the digital output is delivered by the decoding result of said digital signal. When the signal received from a reception antenna or a pickup coil is turned off by said digital output, the power supplies of all circuits are turned off excluding the reception antenna circuit. Thus the guide signal is detected again by the reception antenna and those power supplies are turned on. Thus it is possible to turn on and off automatically the power supply of the carrier by the commands given from the station 7. This omits the permanent residence of a person for emergency and furthermore can reduce the battery power consumption of the carrier.
