PRODUCTION OF ELECTROSTATIC IMAGE DEVELOPING TONER

PURPOSE:To obtain the uniform titled toner having excellent anti-offset property and fixing property at a low temp. and having a small diameter by dividing a starting material of the titled toner in a heated state at higher than temp. of fusing the pre scribed starting material, with adding a shearing stress to a dispersion system dispersed the prescribed material contg. a toner component in a prescribed binder resin. CONSTITUTION:The starting material of the titled toner is produced by incorporating the toner component to a binder resin of the toner which is obtd. by chemically binding at least one of a crystalline polymer having m.p. of 45-150 deg.C and a polar segment such as urethane, urea and a compd. contg. an ionic group. The starting material of the titled toner has preferably, for example, a particle having a mean particle size of 1-5mm. The starting material is dispersed in a liquid dispersion medium. The liquid dispersion medium comprises preferably an aqueous dispersion medium mainly comprising water or alcohol. The ratio of the starting material of the toner to the dispersion medium is preferably 30-95wt%. The titled toner is obtd. by dividing the starting material of the toner with adding the shearing stress at the heating state of more than the temp. of fusing the starting material to obtain the particle having a few mum particle diameter.
