PURPOSE:To enhance water resistance and the like by polymerizing a polymerizable compound in a latent image forming part, overlaying an image receiving material of synthetic pulp paper on a photosensitive layer after development processing, and pressing it to form an image on said paper. CONSTITUTION:The latent image of silver halide is formed in the photosensitive layer of a photosensitive material by imagewise exposure, development processing is executed by heating at the same time as the exposure or after that, the polymerizable compound at the parts of the photosensitive layer in which the latent image is not formed is polymerized, the image-receiving synthetic paper is overlaid on the photosensitive layer subjected to the development processing, the nonpolymerized polymerizable compound and a color image forming material are transferred to the paper by pressing them to form an image on the image receiving paper. After the image formation the image receiving synthetic paper is melted by heat treatment, thus permitting the synthetic pulp part to be made transparent, the voids as well as light scattering in the paper layer to decrease, recording density to be enhanced, accordingly, a sharp image to be obtained, and water resistance, scratch resistance, and light transmittance to be improved in spite of using the flexible image receiving material. |
