PURPOSE:To prevent driving timings from being scattered and reduce malfunctions, by providing a means for generating a plurality of driving timings, and means for inhibiting the supply of the driving timings to driving means for a predetermined period of time after a power source is switched ON. CONSTITUTION:Window comparators 255, 253 are provided for a solenoid 207 for driving a distributing lever and a solenoid 103 for a notched roller, and the solenoids 207, 103 are excited with predetermined timings when the trailing end of paper is detected by a sensor 61. A malfunction-preventing circuit 257 masks erroneous outputs from the window comparators, which outputs are generated when a power source is switched ON, by AND circuits 259, 261. The circuit 257 generates an output after a predetermined period of time from the switching-ON of the power source, and the solenoids 207, 103 are excited according to AND conditions of the output from the circuit 257 and outputs from the window comparators 255, 253. Accordingly, a malfunction upon switching ON the power source can also be prevented from occurring.
