PURPOSE:To obtain a photosensitive material superior in storage stability without giving side absorption to a magenta layer by incorporating a specified magenta coupler and a means for forming an unsharp positive image. CONSTITUTION:The means for forming an unsharp positive image is contained in at least one of photosensitive silver halide emulsion layers formed on a support containing one of the pyratriazole type magenta couplers represented by formulae I and II in which each of R1 and R2 is an alkyl, aryl, or heterocyclic group, and each may be combined through an O, S, or S atom, or a bonding group, such as acylamino or carbamoyl. As a preferable means for forming the unsharp positive image, the compound for forming the unsharp positive image in combination with the silver halide emulsion layer for forming a color negative image, containing a diffusion resistant coupler, thus permitting the obtained photosensitive material to be enhanced in sharpness.
