<p>A mowing machine comprised a carrier (3) having mowing units (16) provided with mowing members (4). The mowing units comprise partly hollow supporting housings which are separated by partly hollow spacers (115). The mowing members are connected to the supporting housings capable of rotation about axes of rotation (39) extending in height. Said supporting housings and spacers are interconnected by at least one detachable tensile bar (17; 69, 70; 162, 163). The tensile bar extends through cavities in said housings (116) and in said spacers (115) or extends over at least part of the carrier length in a recess (121, 122) formed at the outer side of the housings (116) and/or the spacers (115), which constitute said length of the carrier. Taken in the normal direction of operative travel of the mowing machine, the tensile bar (17; 69; 162) may be located before the axis of rotation (39; 140) of a mowing member. </p> |
