PURPOSE:To obtain a transfer film by which a pattern, a photograph, characters or the like can be taken off and transferred onto a fabric or the like, by transferring the pattern or the like printed on the surface of a paper onto an adhesive-coated side of a heat-sensitive sheet. CONSTITUTION:A heat-sensitive sheet 1 comprises a polyester sheet 1b coated with an adhesive 1a comprising a polyethylene resin and a solvent and capable of producing an adhering effect when being heated. A laminate 5 obtained by adhering the sheet 1 and a piece of paper 2 is immersed in a cellulose- dissolving liquid 6 for about 5 min. The liquid 6 is used for dissolving cellulose fibers constituting the piece of paper 2, and is an alkaline solution or an aqueous solution containing diethylenediamine, sodium carbonate or the like. The laminate 5 is taken out from the liquid 6, the piece of paper 2 is released from the sheet 1, and the sheet 1 is washed. An ink layer 4 formed on the piece of paper 2 is transferred onto the sheet 1 in a reversed state, whereby a transfer film is completed. When transferring the ink layer 4 onto a desired part of an object, a heat-sensitive adhesive sheet is placed on the desired part, the ink layer 4 of the transfer film is placed thereon, and heat and pressure are applied. |
