PURPOSE:To enhance an excellent sterilization effect at low cost by passing the flowing hot water through a use point pipeline pat which is obtained by heating the permeated water of an ultrafilter membrane equipment and passing it through the ultrafilter membrane in the direction reverse to the filtering treatment and sterilizing the use point pipeline in combination therewith. CONSTITUTION:While performing the filtering treatment of pure water stored in a pure water tank 2, a valve 11 is opened to preliminarily store the permeated water of an ultrafilter equipment 5 in a storage tank 9. In case of the sterilizing treatment, the valves 13, 15, 17, 19 and 20 are opened and the permeated water stored in the storage tank 9 is heated in a heat exchanger 10 and heated into >=70 deg.C hot water and allowed to flow through a use point pipeline 6 and passed through a use point 7 and fed to the ultrafilter equipment 5 in the direction reverse to the filtering treatment. In such a way, the polluted materials stuck on the membrane surface or the bacteria breeding thereon can be effectively peeled or sterilized by means of the hot water allowed to flow back from the rear side of the membrane and even if the bacteria breed on the use point pipeline 6, these can be effectively sterilized.
