PURPOSE:To realize a water heater providing a non-pollusion effect by a method wherein a sewage water treatment device in which a certain acid drain is improved substantially to a neutral water quality and some noxious substances generated by the drain are removed is installed in the midway of the discharging passage downstream of the drain recovery device. CONSTITUTION:In a water heater provided with a waste heat recovery type heat exchanger 9 and a recovery device 10a for recovering some drains generated in the heat exchanger, a discharged water processing device 11 is installed in the midway of the discharging passage 12 downstream of the drain recvoery device 10a. With this device 11, the drain entered from the inlet of the casing 13 rises up in a clearance between the anode 15 and cathode 16 in the battery cell 14 and during this movement, a hydrogen ion concentration in the water is improved from more than about pH 5.8 to less than about 8.6 and at the same time some noxious substances such as lead and copper are removed, thereafter the water is overflowed and sent to the filter chamber 18 and then such floating type deposits as copper hydroxide or lead hydroxide are filtered by a filter paper 17. |
