PURPOSE:To realize an interface suitable for a reproducer having an intelligent function by providing a means for converting control data into data suitable for a video signal reproducing means in receiving device designation data. CONSTITUTION:An interface 55 is provided in correspondence to each reproducer between plural video signal reproducers and a computer. A comparison circuit 54 compares device designation data sent from the computer with its own device code of a setting switch 51, and when they are coincident, a Q output of a flip-flop 58 is brought to 1. An AND circuit 76 produces an output in receiving command designation data sent succeedingly from the computer, activates a parallel/serial conversion circuit 48 and the command designation data is converted into control data recognized by a video signal reproducing means by using a code conversion circuit 8 and a conversion circuit 48.
