PURPOSE:To provide an air conditioner which has function of automatically regulating an air velocity and an air direction, by a method wherein, through detection of an air current velocity, a control signal is transmitted to an air conditioner body, and the operating condition of the air conditioner is controlled so that, according to the control signal, a velocity of an air current is kept at a specified value or less. CONSTITUTION:When an air current is collided with a heater 5 and a temperature sensor 7, the temperature sensor 7 detects the temperature of the air current, and a temperature sensor 6 detects the temperature of a heater 5 which is reduced as a result of heat being driven off by the air current. If the temperature of the air current is constant, the resistance value of the temperature sensor 7 is kept constant, the input on the minus side of a d.c. amplifier 11 is constant, and an input on the plus side is increased in a potential since, with the increase in a flow rate, the temperature of the temperature sensor 6 is decreased. The voltages on both sides of the heater 5, i.e., the output voltage of a detecting circuit is varied with a flow velocity. In which case, the output voltage is sent to a transmitting part 4, a control signal responding to the output voltage is transmitted from the transmitting part 4 to the receiving body of a body 1 to control the working state of an air conditioner.
