PURPOSE:To form an image accurately and precisely on the surface of a photosensitive body and to copy the image on a copying form with the irreducible error by superposing an original image directly upon the surface of an electrostatically charged photosensitive body, and bringing them into contact with a means of vacuum suction and exposing the photosensitively body. CONSTITUTION:A photoconductive layer 1a provided on the surface of the photosensitive body 1 is supplied with static charges from an electrostatic charging corotron 3 applied with a voltage from a high voltage power source 4 to have photosensitivity. The applied voltage is selected according to the density of the original image and 4.5-6.0kV. The charged photosensitive body 1 is placed on a light transmissive plate 5 (e.g. glass plate) for an exposing process, and the original image S is superposed upon its surface and sealed with an airtight cover 6 (rubber-made sheet). A vacuum pump is put in operation on said sealing and the original image S comes into contact with the surface of the photosensitive body 1 by being sucked through vacuum nozzle holes 7a and 7b. The electrostatic latent image of the original image S formed on the surface of the photosensitive body 1 is developed, transferred, and fixed, but the developing and transferring operations are carried out preferably while the photosensitive body 1 in a statoinary state.
