PURPOSE:To easily display the image of an ordinary original on the blackboard type surface and to write additionally on a displayed imae by forming the image on a recording medium and displaying it on a display part, and writing on an write medium arranged in front of the recording medium. CONSTITUTION:The recording medium 1 which is formed in an endless belt shape and has a white surface is supported in a vertical plane shape by rollers 2 and 4 at the front-side display part 5, and driven as shown by an arrow when an image is formed. While the recording medium 1 is moved at a specific speed, a voltage corresponding to image information is applied between a recording electrode 10 and the conductive laye 12 of the recording medium 1, toner 9 is stuck on the surface of the recording electrode 10 to display an image, and the medium is stopped at the display part 5. Therefore, the image displayed on the recording medium 1 can be viewed even at distance through the transparent write medium 16 and a transparent plate 15 and characters, graphic forms, etc., are added on the write medium 16 with a felt pen, etc., when necessary in addition to the display image.
