摘要 PURPOSE:To provide not only a battery driven detection by reducing power consumption but also the enhancement of reliability by enhancing detection sensitivity, by connecting one of a pair of the detection leads connected to a plurality of the gas detection parts on the same substrate in common. CONSTITUTION:The upper part of a substrate 2 is partially removed to form recessed parts 2a(2a1-2an) so as to provide bridge parts 3b(3b1-3bn) extending into air when said recessed parts 2a are formed and gas detection parts S(S1-Sn) are provided to the central parts of said bridge parts 3b so as to be adjacent to heater parts 5b(5b1-5bn). A pair of detection leads 7b(7b1-7bn), 7c(7c1-7cn) are extended from both sides of each detection part S and the leads 7b are connected to common leads 7a in common and the leads 7c are used as individual leads to determine the electric resistance value between leads 7b, 7c on the basis of the resistance value of each detection part S and, by detecting the change in said resistance value, the presence of the specific gas in an atmosphere is detected. By this method, power consumption is reduced to enable battery driven detection and detection sensitivity is enhanced and durability is improved to enable the enhancement of reliability.
