PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of a toxication trouble in a state to minimize reduction in a room temperature, by a method wherein, during operation of a burner, periodical ventilation is performed with the aid of an intermittent timer. CONSTITUTION:Supposing that a burner 3 is actuated at a time t0 and actuation is completed at a time te, during a time between the times t0 and te, transmission and receipt of a signal between a transmitting means 4 and a receiving means 5 are effected in succession, and an intermittent timer 6 is actuated at the time t0. The intermittent timer 6 transmits an intermittent output only for the time tn each time the time tb elapses after an output from the receiving means 5 to actuate a ventilating means 2. For example, if the time tb is set to 30min and the time tn to 1min, during operation of a burner, ventilation is automatically effected for 1min 1 time at intervals of 30min. This constitution reliably prevents the occurrence of a toxication trouble, and enables minimization of a reduction in a room temperature owing to ventilation.
