PURPOSE:To maintain a stable recording state without erasing the record for a long period of time by forming a thin film of a valency effect compd. having a specific m.p. CONSTITUTION:This optical recording medium 1 is formed into a disk shape by laminating a substrate 3, the 1st protective film 5, a recording film 7, the 2nd protective film 9 and resin film 11 curable by UV rays in this order. The recording film 7 is selected from the valency effect compd. of any among AuSn, AuIn2, InSb, BiTe, SnAs, CaSb and GeTe having 300-800 deg.C m.p. and is formed to 50-5,000Angstrom thickness on the 1st protective film 5 by a sputtering method or vapor deposition method. The transfer of the nonequil. phase part where information is recorded to the equil. phase by the deterioration with age is thereby obviated and therefore, there is no possibility of the natural erasure of the recorded information and the stable recording state is maintained for a long period of time. |
