PURPOSE:To make it possible to measure torque quantity on the basis of the change in the magnetostriction of a magnetic body, by fixing the magnetic body to a cylindrical member to mount a housing to the outer periphery of said magnetic body in a freely rotatable manner and mounting a coil in the housing and fixing the cylindrical member to a shaft to be measured. CONSTITUTION:An amorphous magnetic membrane 24 is fixed to a cylindrical member 12 independent of a shaft to be measured and a housing 46 is mounted to the outer periphery thereof in a freely rotatable manner to cover the fixing surface thereof and a coil is mounted to the inner surface of the lid part 52 for the opening and closing part of the housing 46 to complete a torque sensor as a single body so as to be capable of fixing said sensor to the shaft to be measured. As the result of the mounting of the coil to the inner surface of the housing lid part 52, the coil weak against mechanical shock is detached to assemble the sensor main body and, thereafter, the coil can be mounted. Further, a fixing positioning collar 18 is provided to the cylindrical member 12 at both sides of the fixing surface of the magnetic body 24 thereof. By this constitution, the enhancement of the working efficiency and accuracy in the measurement of torque quantity can be attained. |
