MANUFACTURE OF HIGH DUCTILITY WELDED PIPE OF PURE TITANIUM

摘要

PURPOSE:To provide high ductility to a welded pipe obtd. by forming a beltlike Ti material into a pipe and seam-welding the joint by heat treating the welded pipe at a prescribed temp. according to the thickness and outside diameter of the pipe. CONSTITUTION:A beltlike Ti material is formed into a pipe and the joint is seam-welded to obtain a welded pipe having 0.008-0.08 ratio of t/D [t is the thickness (mm) of the pipe and D is the outside diameter (mm) of the pipe]. The welded pipe is heat treated at a temp. T of [-2.5X10<3>(t/D)+800]-900 deg.C.
