PURPOSE:To enhance sensitivity characteristics and to reduce variation between potentials in the light and in the dark after repeated steps of electrostatic charging and exposure by incorporating a specified organic compound low in molecular weight in a photosensitive layer. CONSTITUTION:The electrophotographic sensitive body has the photosensitive layer containing the compound represented by formula I in which R1 is optionally substituted alkyl or aralkyl; R2 is optionally substituted an aryl or heterocyclic group; and each of Ar and Ar' is an optionally substituted aromatic or hetero ring, and each may be same or different. For example, the electrophotographic sensitive body is embodied, preferably, by functionally separating the photosensitive layer into an electrostatic charge generating layer and a charge transfer layer obtained by dissolving said charge transfer compound and a binder resin, preferably, in a mixing ratio of (0.10-5):1, by weight, into a proper solvent and coating a substrate with this solution, and drying it. |
